i-City’s “white christmas” puts i-City and Shah Alam on the map
December 25th, 2009 by Teresa Press
Three days ago, Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim, EXCO Elizabeth Wong, EXCO Ronnie Liu (with the Santa beard) and I paid a special visit to i-City to view their spectacular white Christmas display, and lend our Selangor State government’s support to their efforts to promote i-City and the city of Shah Alam as a commercial hub.
The white Christmas display is sculpted out of colourful LED lights. It is so beautiful, plus energy-efficient as well. Here are some photos taken by a visitor.
Hundreds of santas and santarinas and angels from Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Klang greeted us on arrival. They sang Christmas carols and danced for us. The little angels looked so adorable!
The white structure behind us is the 14.2 meter-high Christmas tree made out of LED lights.
The Christmas display is on from 7pm to 10pm on weekdays and 7pm to midnight on weekends until 31 December 2009 . So I invite all of you to come see and enjoy this beautiful event while it’s still here.
