Dear Teresa

Don't worry about how the MSM decide to play up your income. Obviously anyone will feel uncomfortable letting the whole world see your income. Who wouldn't?? Even a kerani or accounts clerk will never like to reveal his/her income, inclusive of OT and other claims. In it natural reaction, and also natural for people to comment and criticise. No need to be defensive or justify yourself, as your works and achievements are already public knowledge.

Just remember. "What goes around will soon come around". PR is setting precedence in this area, and soon the Rakyat will demand that all other EXCOs, cabinet ministers and anyone who is anyone in the government, to do so. When that happens, we'll see what happens then.

A quick calculation here:

RM32,830.67 less 4,924.60 (15% to HQ)less 7,000 (Kinrara) less 10,000 (Seputeh) less 2,000 (assumed for top up for Shah Alam assistants) leaves Teresa with RM8,906.07, a middle level management pay compared to corporate scene but her responsibility and risk undertaken is definitely much more than a middle level management personal.

The risks attached with her job includes ISA detention, too much unsolicited eggs in her diet, nicely written fictitious cerpens, risk of hidden cameras in bedroom & toilets, being run into by a Kancil when she is in a Camry etc.

Don't forget she is getting a middle management job salary with 2 jobs. her overtime hours I believe has breached the maximum OT hours permitted by our Employment Act which is about 104 hours per month

I am sure many will come up and ask for donation and assistance. God knows how much that can run into. If Teresa has spend a long time getting underpaid, perhaps we should deem is a back pay.

Why only Teresa and Eli are being named? One positive way of looking at it is an advertisement of the advancement of our women, on the other hand, there is that old caveman orientation of men jealousy and fear of capable women.

I am now more interested in the undeclared income of the rest....especially of non-official sources....

People should read more company reports, the directors in listed companies get paid much more and although they have their own pressure, perhaps their pay compensate their risk and stress much better

Let us march towards transparency and good governance.
