Teresa, please do some deeply research about the system before deliver your question about this GIRN project.I'm shock when you agree with what KPN think about this project. Since when he knows about the telecommunication system??so please don’t make yourself looks fool like him. I don’t want to talk about corruption or hidden cost like what your are saying as i’m also think that it might be exist but the most important thing is this system is manage by our own people and not by the motorola as what i know maintaining our police communication system right now.So now which one did you trust most?the overseas company or our nation company to manage our own security communication system. Think about it..

Teresa, in my opinion it is unlikely for the federal government to do away with the 1976 Local Government Act to pave the way for election of local governments to take place. In the 12GE the BN surrendered all the urban areas to the Pakatan Rakyat, so I don't think they would be so generous as to allow the post of KL Mayor to be held by a PR member, giving away what little they have. I, for one, also hope that there would be local government elections in Penang Island where I live as the services provided by the previous BN-controlled MPPP left much to be desired. With the DAP-led PR state government now in power we can be at least rest assured that an authentic government which is corruption-free is in chage, and the tax money we pay to the MPPP is put to good use like providing better and perhaps cheaper services for the 600.000 islanders.
Despite the federal government not giving-in to the wishes of the people in the PR-controlled states, the PR MPs and State Assemblymen must keep on pressing the BN government to be sensible and give back to the people what is due them.

Dear YB Teresa,

Its a lengthy thing to read but nevertheless, we should fight for the election of Local government. Inclusive of the City council heads like DBKL for example for they would take their position and power vested in them for granted.

They have forgotten they are there with the blessings from the Rakyat to serve the Rakyat.

Taking their positions for granted would eventually lead to arrogance and in the end they lost their fundemental motivation in their functions altogether.

To cut short, they must be elected and when expired, call for another election.
