We have met with them a few times, but people are dissastified that the lawyer kept saying the case has been postponed in each meeting, but that's the fact!! The lawyer Uma has been busy consolidating all the summons filed by the land lord's lawyer to be heard by one judge in the past few years. As there was nothing new for her to report to the residents/her clients, so she did not meet them as there was nothing new to report to them, until the judgement came out on 7th December 2007. Bennie Chin, that MCA guy who knows nothing about the background, has made so much blunders in his press conference. It is very irresponsible for him to make those baseless accusations, and the lawyer is now thinking o suing him for defamation. I understand court proceedings take long time but do you update residents on perhaps semi-annual or annual basis? I believe you are a hardworking MP and you have many people to look after but I believe what you wrote above didn't specifically address this aspect.
