when u have a blanket policy, local peculiarities will necessitate tactical adjustments. does a malay house buyer want to stay in an environment he/she less preferred as he/she can buy a house in another location he is more comfortable in?

for the bumiputra discount, I say, it is time to consider abolishing it for houses above certain prices. If a bumi can afford a 300K / 500K condo, he/she does not need a discount anymore. This will help to keep house prices in check a bit as the cost of materials continue to increase

when the gomen say we should stop the petrol subsidy so that the joe public can understand the cost of fuel better, why not consider some consistency for the bumi discount issue?

Sassy MP. When I related this incident to my Chinese friends, they told me "Si Cheng" means "clock" in Hokkien.

If this is true, then Si Cheng is living up to his name. He's really watching his "si cheng (clock)" all the time. He's only a time keeper, never minding or comprehending the essence or importance of what is being raised or spoken by MPs. Maybe he's just a frustrated, spoilt brat. Yes, that must be it. He must have had a bad day or night and needed to let off some steam. You were just unfortunate.

Keep it up, Sassy MP. We are all watching you.
