JPJ has clearly acted ultra vires in awarding the health screening contract to a company which has no expertise in regulating medical professionals. The Health Ministry is also excluded from the decision making process.

The result is the creation of an unnecessary parasite on the supply chain that would burden the public and enrich a few people behind this company.

I remember the company claims that they would provide database services to JPJ. Can't JPJ get a few diligent but unemployed graduates to maintain the database? An excel database would be sufficient.

KLIA is a weird place. When I am in Changi airport, I see many Caucasians, Japanese who looks business-like, power players in the corporate world. In KLIA, I encounter many Indonesians and Bangladesh blue collar workers. I am not demeaning their status (as I believe most of them labour honestly) but this reflects where the high value end of business process is located.

(note: most of regional office of MNCs are down in that little dot)
