在一番权力斗争后，吉隆坡市长终于在上个月中换人 。前市长鲁斯林的位子在最后一分钟被联邦直辖区 长朱哈斯南的爱将，联邦直辖区部长秘书长哈京取代 ，这与上一届市长被换掉的情况相似。
哈京的背景来头不小，他之前曾担任首相署经济策划 的宏观经济组的副主任，沙巴工商部的副总监，吧 市议会主席，梳邦再也市议会主席及联邦直辖区秘书 长等职位。他被形容为能与联邦直辖区部长朱哈斯南 配合》的人。
吉隆坡新市长哈京才走马上任，便誓言解决吉隆坡市 交通阻塞问题，其中引人注目的建议包括在交通巅 时段向驶入某些市区中心的车辆实施收费，以期减少 驶入市区中心的车子，鼓励市民使用公共交通。
哈京欲解决吉隆坡的塞车问题本属好事，问题是吉隆 的交通阻塞问题是长期以来政府交通政策失败的后 症。在吉隆坡或雪隆一带，公共交通的服务差劲，许 多住宅区缺少巴士和计程车的川行，更妄论轻快铁。 情况逼使许多打工一族为了工作上的便利而买车， 成雪隆一带无处不塞车。
